Two leading companies in technology and health, BrainLit and Nutrilight, are now combining their areas of expertise to commercialize innovative light products that can revolutionize our approach to lighting and well-being.

BrainLit, the company behind Biocentric lighting that mimics daylight indoors, and Nutrilight, which offers solutions with red light therapy, have entered into a partnership to combine advanced technology with research-based health solutions.

Nutrilight presents: Biocentric light for everyone

Nutrilight takes a big step forward by introducing Biocentric light to its product portfolio. With the launch of three new products – a floor lamp, a ceiling pendant, and a wall sconce – Nutrilight offers the market access to lighting technology that adapts to human biological needs and helps optimize the human circadian rhythm. An optimized daily rhythm, in turn, provides improved sleep, increased health, and productivity.

BrainLit, a company with expertise in light and health, has developed Biocentric lighting with the help of research, which through an advanced light recipe optimizes light intake for humans in everyday life. Unlike static exposure to artificial light that can negatively affect sleep, mood, and performance, Biocentric light contributes to a more balanced and healthy light exposure. It is about making lighting that meets human biological needs a natural part of the home, office, and public environments. Through Nutrilight's new initiative, this advanced and patented technology is now available to customers and consumers in a completely new way.

A candle with a purpose

The three products that Nutrilight launches from BrainLit not only offer energy-efficient and elegant design but are also developed with the human biological rhythm and health in mind.

"We are incredibly proud to collaborate with Tord Wingren and his fantastic team. The combination of Tord's technical vision and Fredrik's deep knowledge in health opens up new opportunities to improve people's quality of life," says Johanna Sucasas Wictorén, CEO of Nutrilight.

"It's not just light – it's light with a purpose. We want to make a difference in how people feel in their everyday lives by offering lighting that understands and supports their needs," adds Truls Löwgren, who is responsible for the lighting technology at BrainLit.

Launch and future plans

Nutrilights is launching BrainLit now in January 2025 and targets both private individuals and companies. The partnership between Nutrilight and BrainLit marks the beginning of a new era for the role of light technology in our society.
