New research on red light therapy and IVF treatments
This study investigated the use of red light therapy (LLLT) to help women with recurrent implantation failures (RIF) become pregnant. RIF occurs when a woman repeatedly fails to conceive despite multiple embryo transfers during IVF treatment (In Vitro Fertilisation). Thirty women who had failed at least three embryo transfers were divided into two groups. One group received red light therapy before the next transfer. The results showed a higher pregnancy rate in the red light therapy group: 46.7% had biochemical pregnancies and 33.3% had clinical pregnancies, compared to 33.3% and 20.0% in the control group. This suggests that red light therapy may improve pregnancy chances in RIF patients.
