Both laser LED light is light of a specific wavelength. The difference is that with lasers, all light quanta are in phase with each other, so-called coherent light. This makes the technology effective but problematic due to heat generation and the risk of, for example, eye damage. In addition, laser products are significantly more expensive than LED products, which has led to the latter being by far the most common form of panels for home use.
